3 REASONS WHY NOBODY IS SEEING YOUR CONTENT

Updated: Jul 17

"Content" seems to be all anyone is talking about nowadays. You're writing blog posts, engaging on social media, creating videos, and yet nothing. You're creating all this content and no one is engaging with it. Unfortunately, results don't come from just creating content. They come from creating with intention and you can do that when you have a plan.

1. Quality Content Matters

There are so many different social media platforms you can market on. We recommend spending your time and effort on fewer platforms and investing in higher quality content rather than trying to be present on every platform with lower quality content. When creating quality content aim for high resolution, well lit, clean, authentic posts that show your audience what your business is all about. Don't forget to focus on creating content your audience will want to engage with. Over time you'll find the right balance between quality and quantity.

2. Create Strategically

Try not to think about creating MORE content but instead, create intentional and strategic content that remains timeless. Certain times will require you to speak about current events or personal updates that you didn’t necessarily plan for in advance – that’s okay. People love seeing the behind-the-scenes/less curated type content so try and approach content creation with an 80/20 rule. 80% of the content you create is done so with intention and 20% of the content you create is done to share the personality behind you and your brand. Anytime you create content it should accomplish something bigger than just being a "check" off your to-do list.

Here are some tips to help you determine what to post on Instagram.

3. Build Trust

Customers want to purchase from businesses and people they believe to be honest and trustworthy. You can build trust and connect with your audience by staying consistent. One way to be consistent is by creating a distinct brand voice. When we talk about “brand voice” we really are talking about how your brand sounds when the audience reads your copy, captions, and text. Is your brand voice funny and lackadaisical or more sophisticated and proper? Decide on a brand voice and use it throughout your entire business including the content you put out to your audience.

The purpose of your content is to create interest and drive sales, however, customers don't want to be given a sales pitch. Use your content as a way to educate and stand out from the rest. When your audience feels like you're helping them instead of selling to them, they will be more inclined to engage.

Summary

There is this constant pressure to create fresh, new, interesting content on all the social media platforms out there. Try to focus on creating from a place of intention and purpose. This is when you'll begin to see tangible results.
